PUPUSERIA IRENE’S! Although it’s actually in Adelphi/Langley Park. There is so much good food to be had in that little CDP. I wonder if it would be possible to eat Irene’s, Woodlands, bahn mi, pho, and Guatemalan baked goods all in the same day.

Haha I took a class on LP at UMD and the professor was pretty partial to the area, so it’s possible I was misinformed. But I think we all need to do this. Gonna start training/stretching my stomach now…

That class was so bomb for so many reasons. First of all, eating pupusas on a field trip. Secondly, doing actual fieldwork for the final project, like lugging my lazy ass down 193 to the police station to talk to the youth liason: totally great…going clubbing for a project on Langley Park nightlife and inserting a picture of your fake ID into your powerpoint: also totally great, too bad it was some other girl in my class who did that and not me. Third, I felt like the class had a dual focus on both Langley Park and Long Island, and I remember being so utterly disgusted and ashamed when we watched Farmingville and doubly disgusted hearing similar sentiments come out of my relatives’ mouths. I think it made me realize how racist Long Islanders are in general. Pretty fucking racist actually.
Anyway, I have no idea where to get a pupusa around here and it bothers me.
